Hmmmm, i dont understand, if each mine is 100,000 income, and you got the first part right, but the second part, i dont understand were you got that from....

if I'm right you get 20k from each planet you own, so I own 16 planets which is 320k

Correct, since income is collected today and tomarrow, just collect todays income, take it as a "Welcome to the site" gift, for someone finally starting one of the other factions.
